Oslo - Bergen
I couldn't sleep that night. I was too nervous. But once I had my first ride and knowing I can't go back now made it easier. It was a hard day. Took me lots of cars but I witnessed magic all the way.
Diego picked me up after seeing how long I was standing at the gas station and dropped me off to a good spot on the E 16. He still couldn't understand why am I not taking the train. He even offered to pay for my ticket :)
Valdimir was the first Russian speaker I met so far. Born in Kazakhstan, Estonian parents and grew up in Germany, lived for a long time in Sweden. He drove me to a place with a great view. We talked about life, yoga and world war over a cup of tea.
Lida. An artist from Colombia. Again lots of lives stories and she insisted on buying me lunch. She was driving for a vacation in the mountains.
Hauk, the mountain troll. He told me so himself! Everything about him was magical. His job, his telepathy with his twin brother, his love for the mountains.
" If I fall off the mountain and die, it's OK, I'm home!"
My last drive was also magical. Two UFO hunting girls felt sorry for me and made a place for me in the overloaded car. Sitting there with them and talking felt like I've known them for ages. It was a long drive and couldn't contact my host but I ended up being hosted by Ingeborg. An artist student in Bergen.
" It's strange how personal the stories strangers could tell!!" Trine told me after talking with a construction worker. It's her. I told so many intimate ones along the drive! It's definitely her and her enormous heart.
