Trondheim
My last stop in Norway.
The first car, Jon. His full name sounds like a viking kings name. He had his PHD at 50, chemistry, psychology, business, he does photography and has his own dark room. He told me about his sons. And we enjoyed discussing literature and I was really sad that it was only a 20 km ride and not further.
Morgen, he surprised me by stopping on the highway. He had a husky that traveled with him everywhere in his truck and died there. We had a pizza together and at the gas station he helped me find a ride all the way to Trondheim on a tour bus.
Tor, a Sami, was twice in St. petersburg and was friends with Putin before he became the president. I could feel that Northern stillness and wisdom in him. He gave me his contacts saying, in case I'm in trouble I should call him cause he has a lot of contacts. The school of his youngest daughter texted him saying his daughter didn't come to school today. When I asked, is he mad at her? He smirked, she's just like me when I was her age. When we got to the center of Trondheim, my host, a friend of Renate's was waiting for me. Tor, stepped down and talked to him. It felt like a guardian taking care of me.
Åsmund lived in a red house that was bought by the communist party in Trondheim. So, lots of communists and few anarchists youth lived there.
Tiina. She agreed to give me the tattoo although she was having doubts about her ability to do so. It turned out wonderful. The trip led me to meet this person and get a permanent reminder of the process and of that person. She opened up something inside of me AND introduced me to Roller Derby! A fascinating world I didn't know existed!
My favorite places in Trondheim. Svartlamoen and Mormors stue. While looking for Svartlamoen I met Patrcia. The cutest, most generous German girl! She spent two years trying to figure out which animal she resembles. We solved it in half an hour over hot coco and coffee. A fox!
I spent the rest of my time at a couchsurfer's place. My blog brought us together.
Sigve, when he's not cooking, he's making people feel comfortable and warm. I really felt at home there.
Monuments for kids who committed suicide made by their family.
And last but not least, my tattoo, a sailing viking ship.
